Sorry to say that there is not anything you can do if you did not get a contract and a health guarantee. You can ask the breeder to refund half, stating that you will have to have him neutered, but legaly she does not have to do anything. If he is lame, depending on what type of breeder she is, she may have him neutered and sold cheaper, or she may have him put down. If she is someone that just breeds to sell and make money my bet is she will have him put down. That is much cheaper. Please, before you get another one get a contract and make sure there will be a health guarantee. Mine states that if a problem does arise, I will either take the pup back and replace it, or if it is a genetic problem they can keep the pup and I will either help with medical expenses, or give them another pup when available. My puppies are given bile acid tests, and their legs are checked before they are even considered to be sold, but I only breed once a year at most. I breed to produce my own show dogs, so do not sell much.
