Just got back from the vet - went to a new one and this one has 2 yorkies, his inlaws have yorkies and his parents have yorkies.

He ended up putting her under as her left hear canal was totally plugged with hair. SAid he thought he would find a bur, bug or something, but just a tight clump of hair - likely he says from when mommy was grooming her as a baby. Said that this is NOT common.

Her ear is very red inside, so we are on Animax for a week. While she was out he said he checked for all the common genetic ills and found none. Said her patellas are good and strong.

He did say she is a real "Drama Queen"

Weight at 17 weeks is 3.2 lbs. Had her final set of shots also. He estimates that she will reach just about 5 lbs.

Well, after sleeping all night for the first time Tuesday night , last night was AWFUL!!! She never slept more than 15 minutes.

Mia started just after we got in bed shaking her head every couple of minutes, scratching at her right ear. I tried rubbing it and she would cry pitifully, got up and looked in and round the ear and all seems ok.

Does anyone have any ideas? She seems to be resting nicely now (of course! LOL!) I am going to try to give the vet a call this morning, but DD has appts about the foot she hurt in PE and isn't improving after being on crutches, so I'm not sure if we'll be able to get in.
