 Milk, weaning, mom question?
My chi mom (this is my 1st litter of pups ever) seems to not want to feed her pups any more. They are 5 weeks old on Sunday. I keep them in a playpen so when I put her in there she can't get out, but she's not happy all the time about it. She's still full of milk. Is this normal? The babies have teeth now too. When does mom stop feeding them?
I make her stay in the playpen while I'm at work so I know they are still getting milk. Plus they aren't eating puppy food yet.
How does mom's milk go down? Her poor boobies!!! |
