It pains me to let my babies go to their new homes. They are like my children to me. Its impossible not to get attached to them. We only breed a couple of litters a year (some years we breed none) so we can spend time with each puppy to socialize it and be sure there are no issues. The current five we have are ready for new homes (two are sold) and its going to be difficult to let the others go.
A good friend of ours and a long time breeder (over 25 years) lost a litter earlier this year. That would be about the most difficult thing I could imagine.
Because they are like my children, I take extreme care in placing them. I'd GIVE them to a good home before I'd sell them to a poor one.
Gotta love the babies.
