Personally, I wouldn't do it. My daughter had a friend whose parents used an invisible fence for their dog, which was much bigger than a yorkie. Once when we were at their house for a cookout, someone asked if the shock hurt. They said it doesn't hurt and, of course, there's always that one person who wants to know for themselves. We formed a chain of 5 people, and I was at the end of the chain. The first person had the collar in his hand, and all of us felt the shock. Like I said, I was the last in the chain, and I felt the shock and I thought it hurt. JMO
