Starchy Carbohydrates such as bread, rice, couscous, millet are said not to be good for them as a daily diet...but its included by many wet food manufacturers...

Soluble carbohydrates are the starchy portion of a plant that can be easily broken down in your dog's digestive tract. Soluble carbohydrates are found in high concentrations in cereal grains such as rice, wheat, corn, barley, and oats. Your dog can quickly, easily digest the cooked or extruded forms of soluble carbohydrates found in most pet foods. However, dogs cannot easily digest all forms of starch, such as those found in raw cereal grains. Some starchy carbohydrates, including raw potatoes and bananas, are completely resistant to digestion in dogs.
