In my area, we use to have tons of pet stores, but now we don't. The only ones we have are Petco and PetsMart - PetsMart only has animals that need to be adopted from the shelters and Petco does not sell cats/dogs, etc. There is one place that is like 2 hours away (I have seen them advertised) that sells dogs.....AKC approved pets and they look very "high-end", but I have never been there to check them out. For some reason, I have never approved of stores like this (even when I was growing up). Those poor, poor babies!
