If you plant a spring garden this year, keep curious canine noses away from tulip bulbs.
Many common garden plants can cause illness in dogs when ingested in large enough quantities. Tulip and iris bulbs, which can be dug up easily by bored or curious pets, are particularly toxic. Keep areas that contain recently planted bulbs closed off and supervise your dog carefully while these flowering bulbs are being cultivated.
