Sorry, I have no advice to offer. Sissy can only jump on the sofa, the back of the sofa, and chairs, but she will then climb onto the tables. She also takes flying leaps off everything. We have always called her a Mountain Goat for climbing to the back of sofas. She even tries to climb up to the back of the office chair when I'm on the computer!! She is also known as a Flying Squirrel for the leaps she takes. She gets such huge air and quite a distance for her tiny frame. She is 4 lbs, but looks like a 2 1/2 pounder size-wize.
We have tried to discourage her from jumping down, with little success. I also worry all the time about her breaking her legs or falling on her head. Luckily she is only jumping down from lower surfaces. Our bed is pretty high and she can only get up there if lifted onto it, but she'll fly off that too - that is the one that really freaks me out.
