Hahaha! That made me smile because I know exactly what you're talking about! She's losing her baby hair, and her hair is turning color. A fun thing to do is cut small locks of her hair and label them by age. You'll see how the hair texture and coloring changes with age.

So it all depends how you want her to look. If you're going for the long, flowy, bow-on-the-head type look, you'll have to be patient for her hair to get long enough to tie it back in topknot. If you prefer the short look, then start trimming away!!
