There normal body temperature is about 101.5 so that may be why her paws feel warm to you. I really would like to know her temp. I've never had any of mine play while going into labor. I prepare a place for them about 2 weeks before the pups are coming and since they sleep in my bed they completely ignore it until two days before they go into labor. Then when the time is close they start panting and licking their vulva and digging in the towels or blankets.
