I guess I can post since my furbaby is about 90% potty trained.
Bacci is 5 months. My fiance and I work full time jobs and are not home all the time. When we first got home with Bacci I can't begin to tell you how discouraged I was.
We set up a xpen. DO NOT let him roam the house. Introducing him to one room at a time might be better so your lil one doesnt get so confused. We wee wee pad trained him. BC we are gone for long periods of time and live an apt.
I guess the most success is the praise after words. I would look for signs. Or no, that 10-15 minutes after playing, eating, drinking he would need to go potty. So i would constantly pick him up and put him on the pad. Say potty bacci.

If you arent there you cant dicipline them bc they will have no clue what your talking about.
In the midst of the action I would pick him up and put him on the pad and if he finished there I would praise him "potty bacci good boy"

I diddnt use an attractant, mainly bc my cat was having issues with the pee pads being on the floor bc apparantly it doesnt only work on dogs.

But yorkies LOVE praise and attention. Once your lil one figures out that every time he does the action you want him to, you will give him a treat or pet him for a couple minutes he will begin doing it.

It is a LOT of repetition, and time. 5 months and he still has some accidents here and there. Dont get discouraged, they are one of the hardest breeds to potty train.

 good luck
