I am waiting for dh to get home to help me give him a full dose, I don't think I should give it to him pill form because it'll come right up. At least with liquid, it can get into his blood stream a bit before it comes back up.

You can have flavor added to your Benadryl at the pharmacy for a couple $$. They have several different flavors like smoked bacon, chicken pot pie, turkey and so many more. My vet told me dogs naturally don't like sweets so the regular Benadryl wouldn't go over well, he was right...we had it flavored like bacon and it was a hit. Good luck!
