I do not recall much color after 10 to 12 days, with the color going lighter and lighter..but some will start to spot a bit for a few days after breeding has occurred.
A friend had a bitch stay in heat for about a month..they found a egg/cyst?? on her ovary..medication took care of it..an injection as I recall. The vet explained an egg became encased in the ovary or something to that effect.sorry I can not give techincal terms..
