So my husband woke me up this morning becasue he could not find our beta fish "petey" in his tank. I got up to look and I couldnt find him either
.
I looked everywhere in this 1 gallon tank that was sitting on a 4 foot ledge in our kitchen and he was no where to be found. I finally found him on the floor under our microwave stand and of course he was dead
There is only a a small 1/2 x 1/2 opening at the top of the tank, how could he have jumped out of it? We have had this beta for about 7 months and he has never jumped out of the tank before. Anyone ever heard of a beta jumping out of its tank?
I had a redtail catfish that used to do this, I had to keep rescuing him becasue he would jump into the filter, But I've NEVER heard of a beta jumping out of tank and I still find it hard to believe.
