Yes, it does happen to humans, very clean well taken care of ones as a matter of fact. I know a family with an only child....extremely well taken care of. He had a bump on his jaw line. They took him to the doctor. They were shocked and sickened to find that it was a maggot in there. The doctor said the child probably just scratched a mosquito bite and a fly laid an egg there while he was sleeping. However.....he added that was the best thing to have in there because it would eat any infection
