I wanted to mention... if the skin is humid there doesn't need to be a wound, they have a sucker mouth or hook something like that, they can lay an egg and it can still hatch, then it'll go into the skin, hatch then leave.. sometimes they DON"T leave.. soooo they don't just wounds..so if it's hot, watch your pups especially if they have long hair!! = )
the eggs are white and sticky... also.... if your pups hair has urine or feces in it, that obviously attracts them to lay eggs!!!
but remember even the cleanest, hairless dog can have something happen to it if their skin gets humid...
