I'm not sure about this...size is a concern to me but not to make a fashion statement or to be trendy. Without searching for a small Yorkie we got Jo and he stayed very small, he was grabbed by the side of his neck and body slammed to his side by a 5 pound Yorkie one day while playing and it scared me. When looking for a playpal for him I purposely looked for another male that would stay about his same size...I felt he would be safer that way. Both of my boys are right at 4 pounds and they're very healthy but if I would have started with an 8 pound Yorkie I would have looked for a playpal around that same size. I may be looking for a small female in the near future and for the same reason as above but health is the overall concern, size comes in second.
