I can put elastic in mine but my belly bands are $7.99 - I use use extra strips of velcro(to keep ends from curling and for better security and adjustment), put extra stitches all along the outside perimeter, use top quality cotton fabric on top and line my bellybands in absorbant fleece so that they are durable and last a long time even when they are washed time after time so i cant make them for less that $7.99 but I can put elastic in them for no extra charge.
