Also I think you have to give a really good description of what you want, maybe even take in photos. I know a few people even write down what they want and take it in. Different groomers have their own ideas of what a cut is, like one groomer may keep the hair so long for a puppy cut then the next practically shave it all off.
Listen to me say this....I've only been to a groomer once and all he did was trim her beard, ears, and feet(which I didn't care for). I sure am sounding like I know what I'm talking about aren't I? Anyway, I also think if its something small, like the feet for me, then you could still give them one more shot. Next time I go in I'll make sure to tell them to skip the feet. If they butchered your pup or didn't listen to a thing you said then forget it, I wouldn't go back, but otherwise the more you go the better you'll get to know how your groomer works and the better your groomer will get to know what you like.
You could also ask if they let you stay, the first time at least. That way you could watch and tell them exactly what you do and do not want as they go along. Good luck with that search....
