ok so how long have you had your cats? considering you've only had your yorkie three weeks I would think you'd get rid of it first, please don't hate me other yt'rs, but it makes sense. The cats are acting on instincts and they can't help it and neither can you. The most you can do is supervise them for now and get "Soft Paws" they're glue on nails for cats that are soft and prevent the cats from scratching things, and the nails shed off as their normal nails would and you just keep replacing them.

Your cats are doing what comes naturally. I'm sorry your puppy got hurt, but when you got the puppy you knew you were taking a risk and that that risk may have consiquences. a couple scratches was sort of to be expected, and they may be establishing the picking order. My friend has a cat who is the Alpha pet and the dog knows this. It's not fair to get rid of the cats for following their instincts, just see how it goes for a while and try the soft paws.
