Hi Jamie, and welcome to YT! I'm not in the New York area and can't help you with specific breeders in that area. However I do know that you should do lots of careful research of breeders in your area before you make your decision. You should definately pick a breeder as close to where you live as possible so that you can go see the litter and the sire and dam as well. If possible, interview the breeder, ask for references and do your followup. Read through recent threads about breeders. This forum is a wealth of info. And never never never buy from a pet store. Most are supplied with their dogs through puppy mills. Also I would post on the "for sale or wanted" section of this forum. Good luck.
