Trixie was about a year old when her coat finally 'calmed down' and started growing longer. Until then, you could brush her and in about 2 minutes she would just look like a scruffy dumpster dog.
Cody's hair didn't grow long and tame until we broke down and had him cut pretty short, then it grew back nicely.
