This is the first step we as animal lovers should take. Tell everyone about mills, tell them about the cruelty these poor innocent animals suffer day in day out to supply the public with beloved pets. There are safe ways to buy pets and hopefully one day we will put an end to the suffering these animals are subjected to. That's why I caution people about just randomly searching the net for breeders and pups. A Long time ago most mill pups were sold thru pet shops. now with our wonderful advances in technology we now have "fronts" that appear to be loving caring breeders. I know that there are great breeders out there that also have websites but it's very important to research each one you consider buying from. Even the bad ones can come off sounding as if they a caring, reputable, loving breeders. There are a few red flags one needs to look for when considering buying sight unseen. They usually wave those red flags pretty loud and clear..at least enough to give me reason to be leery. Most brokers are not a good source to buy from either. Again..I'm not saying all brokers are bad..but I would not buy from one. I have never seen a reputable breeder have the need for a broker. There is also the practice of pirating pictures of dogs off the web to use on some websites to help sell pups. They find pictures or adorable adults or pups and post them as their own. It has been known to happen.
