Okay everyone I am in desperate need of advice....
I work as a home mortgage consultant. I began this career path in November of last year prior to that I worked in radio sales. When I first started in the mortgage industry I worked for a company that provided little to no training, so I stayed there for 7 months and decided to start interviewing. That's when I got the job with the company I am with now. I just started yesterday and explained to my new manager that I had little formal training so my goal was to get a lot of training and that's why I chose this company. Anyways long story short I knew the job would involved cold calling people with mortgages, however what I did not know is that I would be doing it on my second day. I was told today I needed to cold call because my loan processors job was on the line and she would be fired if we didn't get some loans closed. I asked my boss if I could go into the conference room to make the calls until I get my confidence up he says what's the big deal. So long story short I go into an empty office cold call and he tells me that I can't continue to do that. Am I being silly thinking this guy is an A*S? Why in the world would he have me cold calling my second day on the job? Do you think I am wrong? Thanks everyone it's been a rough day
