[Sadie's Mom]

I've checked this thread probably a hundred times in the last hour hoping for news. I know she is frantic with worry. We lost my parents dog one time. She was deathly afraid of fire/smoke. My dad was burning leaves out back one time & mom let her outside to do her business. Well, she didnt' let her back in before dad started burning. She got scared & ran off. We checked all over the neighborhood for her & finally some neighbors said they had seen her. But she didnt like people, so she wouldn't go near them (or actually they wouldn't go near her cause she growled at them). She went back through the woods & ended up swimming out to a log in this pond. She didn't like to swim as most dachshunds don't because they have short legs. My Dad had to swim out in the freezing water to get her. All turned out well, but we were sooooooooo scared until we found her! I'm still praying for Chloe. Maybe she just ran off & is scared somewhere & Jodi will find her & Chloe will be so happy to see her.
