She maybe afraid of the closet. I would put the pee pad where she prefers to go just as a start to get her to use it. Everywhere she has gone has to be washed. I don't mean just wiped up with cleaner but deep cleaned.
Do you have a hand held carpet cleaner? The mats can be put in the washer then picked up for now. Mya used to pee on the mats in the bathroom because we go in that room so I guess she figured, Yep this is the potty room. *grin*
Next spray a nice cheep perfume on spots where she goes. This has never failed me to stop a dog going in that same spot.
Also Mya would not use a pee pad twice. She would not poop if the second pad was close to the pad where she peed. I wanted he to stay pee pad trained too but now she will only go out side. If you play with your puppy they will need to go out after as well. Use lots of praise and treat maybe if puppy goes outside or on the pee pad. |
