Whatever you do DON'T GIVE UP!! Our first Yorkie, Boog, got tricked out of our yard by a rabbit one night during a blizzard. The wind chill factor was -50 and the snow was blowing sideways so you could hardly see. I too was afraid a hawk got Boog or that he got hit on the 5 lane highway in front of our house so with one eye closed I peeked but he wasn't there...thank God! We looked for him for almost an hour...I was bawling like a baby, freezing my butt off and worrying about him freezing to death. On my way to the house (to get a coat) I caught a tiny movement out of the corner of my eye and yelled 'There he is!' before I was even sure. My husband ran over to the area and sure enough, it was Boog...he followed the rabbit to the neighbor's house 2 houses away, clear back to his huge metal storage shed at the back of our 1 acre properties. He was stuck in one of the ruts the tractor tires made in the snow, he was jumping up and down trying to get out and that's what I saw...the tips of his little ears. I know Boog's Guardian Angel was with him that night...I'm praying Chloe's is with her too!
