What worked real well for me, and this was the first time out of 5 dogs that I crate trained, was I bought a dog playpen which is like a bay playpen but has the front zips open. I but her bedding on one side and her wee wee pad on the other. She trained within weeks this way. Now when I go out she runs in there and I zip it up and she is nice and safe. She sleeps in there alot during the day. She just goes in and snuggles up. When I am home it is open and she hops in there whenever she needs to use the pad. We have had maybe 3 accidents in almost 1 year using this method. The only downside is I have not ben able to get her to go outside she prefers using the pads. Some people do not agree with putting a pad in their crate but it worked great for us! Good luck!
