There is an item called the "Helping Hand," that I have to help when I bath my babies. It is a clip on extention arm that I clip onto my table and then the other end I clip onto the drier. It will hold the drier and moves so you can change the position of it. This way I can hold onto my baby while drying him/her. It is one of the better investments that I made a long time ago.

also to keep water from getting in their ears I use those little earplugs that are made of a soft foam sponge that you squeez real tight and insert into the ear then they expand. This works great fomr my furkids.
