Well the biggest problem was that the dogs did not have a pack leader, so they did whatever they wanted. Once Cesar taught the people how to assume the roll of pack leader, the dogs started behaving.

If they take things that are yours, or attack the vacuum cleaner, or a bush, as one of them did, just correct them. Period.... don't allow them to do those things.

As the pack leader, everything belongs to you until you tell them that they can have it. Once you establish to them that you are the leader, they will respect that concept. It's instinct for them to respect the leader.

Here is a link to his website. He pretty much explains his whole theory there, and once you undertand it, it will work with any dog.
