Basically, the Yorkies were little terrors. They had one, and he was a well-behaved little guy; then they got another, and all the training went down the drain.
They had paper-trained both and both dogs were good until they decided to carpet half the house; the first thing the Yorkies did was pee on the new carpet, and then proceeded to poop in every room of the hosue--so much so, that they have baby gates everywhere.
The Yorkies are very agressive and territorial, "interrupting" when humans are talking, "fighting" with the vaccuum cleaner and one actually attacks a bush.
They actually didn't address the potty problem that I could see, but they did work on the agressive behavior by showing the owners how to assert themselves--a sharp noise to get their attention, a "ssh" or "hey" and getting in their faces to show that you 'own' the territory that they are trying to get to and that they are not allowed there. rather than address the potty problem they showed how to reinforce how to have "invisible gates" in the house--how to show the dog that they are simply not allowed somewhere. It takes correction EVERY time, but the Yorkies seemed to react positively immediately. They also showed how to hold the leash and show the dog that it's YOUR leash and that they were NOT allowed to attack shrubbery. LOL
