Hi Lydia,
Excuse the late reply ...
Our Chipper is 13 years old, he was given to us when he was a baby ... and very sick with Hypoglycemia. His sister had died, so he couldn't be sold. The first few years he had quite a few seizures, sometimes 2 or 3 a week. We depend on Nutri-cal, a high calorie sugar nutriment in a tube, we've found it works best. Gradually they've slowed down, but never stopped or been predictable ... except if we go somewhere and forget the Nutri-cal (!), then it's a quick stop for a sugar packet! Or if he gets excited, visiting or a strange dog. He's never outgrown them, he'll go a month or two, then have one. He comes to us when he feels one coming on ... we pick him up, and hold him real tight until it passes and then give him Nutri-cal. Chipper is the smartest, most loving, social butterfly, alert, protective and finest dog we've ever had or known. And, I know your baby will be too! Chipperdancing
