I would bring a gift if I got an invite to any housewarming/open house party for a new home buyer, but would be offended if I got a registry thing with my invite.

Same with me. i thought is sounded kinda strange. I have NEVER been asked to bring a gift or had ANYBODY I know have a registry. AND I"M OLD....LOL
