Did your vet ever give her an injection of calcium? The injection is faster acting and does more than supplements can do. In order for calcium supplements to be effective they have to be given in a certain ratio with phosphorus or it can actually lower her calcium levels.
Many feel calcium supplements during pregnancy can lead to this condition. Did you feed her a good quality puppy food after mating? Did you give calcium supplements during pregnancy (not recommended by most)? |
