It sounds like its mostly the face hair that has you concerned...
Its tough to get it up when its not long enough... and you can't pull it back between the ears till its much longer... bummer! But you can clip it close to the front.... I did this with Pixie for months... Tiny Ponytails closer to the front of her forehead, but you have to take them out EVERY NOGHT if you really want the hair to grow out and not break off... and no rubber bands... Use nylon... the ouchless kind.. if you get the TINY ones, three wraps will hold a tiny pony! They are the size around of a pencil.. You can also use clips.... But if the clips come out... they can chew on them if your not looking! Clips are great for when your with them... like when you go out...
