Welcome to YT! You'll find lots of good info. here on the care of your new yorkie. I won't be getting mine till July, but have already been stocking up on all the "must haves".

About riding in a car, I bought a booster seat from PetSmart. The small pup will be comfortable and still be able to see out the window. It also has a small leash to attach to your dogs collar to keep him in.
