Yesterday we shaved ALL of Rocky, excluding his head and face. It was difficult because he also kept moving around. I would hold him still, my bf would shave. If you have someone to hold him while you cut her hair, I would do that. Kind of hold her neck and body under your arm (but don't hold too tight, make sure she can still breath and yoru not squeezing her). Cut away from the ears/face too so that way if she does move real quick, her skin won't get in the way. It will probably take trial and error, as it did w/ Rocky. He would be good for so long, then got excited and had to run around, so we let him do that for a minute or 2 until he was ready to sit still again. Also, if she knows the "stay" command", use that. Tell her "No" when she tries to move. It might take long at first, but hopefully she'll get used to it after you do it a few times. Just remember patients is key because you don't want to cut her. Good luck!
Another thing is to try and distract her w/ something, so she focuses on that instead of what your doing to her ears. |
