Well, I didn't even know that you got special privileges when you reached 500 posts. It wasn't until I had over 900 posts that someone from admin PMed me. So I guess, yes, I had to wait! If you are really anxious, just PM admin and tell them that you have 500 posts and you are anxious to see what privileges you have now. I'm SURE they won't mind at all!
