 Mya's training method
Since Mya has learned to jump off the bed, I really miss having my cuddle buddy. I dug out the clickers lately for more training. She used to be very afraid of the clicker so I thought I would try it again. I found out just clicking is a good way to call her instead of scream down two fights of stairs for her.
Well I click from my bed and then pick her up. Give her a treat then cuddle her. Great ! it works....not quite. She now jumps off the bed peeks around the corner of my bed on my side and waits for the click again for another treat. I click she comes to my side I pick her up and don't give her a treat.
She jumps off the bed and again waits peeking around the corner. It is so funny. We were also using the click method to get her to drop her ball. She does not like to give it up because she wants to play tug of war. Now she when you throw the ball after she drops it. She just sits in front of us waiting for another treat. So no treat. LOL Today my husband threw her ball she got it then would not drop so he got another ball. Keeping the ball in her mouth she knocked it out of his hand and pushed it with her nose down the hall then returned with the original ball still in her mouth...all happy like. |
