I've read a few posts lately that mention having their puppy wear a collar & bell. So I just want to tell you my story......
I thought it was a good idea to put a collar with a little bell on Riley when I first got her. I use a harness with her leash, so the collar was purely for the being able to hear Riley. This way I can hear her when she runs around the house. She wore it only during the day. One day I had her on the kitchen floor & she started crying. This terrible "I'M IN PAIN" kind of cry. I hurried over & picked her up. At first I couldn't figure out what was wrong. But she apparently was scratching at her neck with her back foot & her nail was stuck in the bell. It took me & my daughter to maneuver it loose. That taught me! What if that had happened while I was gone? I no long put a collar & bell on her.
