Nooo....Absolutly not...It comes from parents, grandparents, it is a genetic defect...My lil Tiny man has it...Not form his parents or his grandparents, but from my local vet!!! Yea...Figure that 1 out!! ..I took Tiny in to get him fixed. He was 5 months old and they told me it would be OK! Well I sign all my forms and what not...I even cried when they took him from me to do the surgery! They were going to fix him and put his micro chip in so that I could have it done while he was asleep.!! Come to find out....When they tubed him...The tube was extreamlly tooooooo large! A vet tech must have put way to big a tube in him! So now..When he gets to coughing so bad that I can;t calm him down , I just get him a lil bit of Robatussin...He does OK...No medications or anything...I was told that he would be just fine...I may have problems later in life when he gets to be 10-15 years of age but for now...He will be ok...I'm in tears now..Because it just seems so unfair to Tiny...And there was nothing I could do to the vet..Because I had already signed all of the realese papers...and I hadn't had X-rays before the surgery only after when the damage was already done!! I actually paid..over $300.00 for everything..SAnd the only thing they did for Tiny was take away alot of his play time..He can't play rough now...Or play really hard...He stops in the middle of playing to a DEAD STOP to actaullly catch his breath . It's hard to see him go through this..But I know everything will be ok!
