Hi Yorkierose

I apreciate your opinion. I wonder, because this is how my friend says many operate in the "cat world" It's not that I don't have the money, I just wonder if breeders of dogs (yorkies) sometimes do this.
I realize, although only from reading and not from "practical experience" that one must have money put away for whelping, because many things can happen both to the mum and to the pups.. wouldn't want to take any unnecessary risks on either...both are precious.
Also, if you were to purchase a breeding female, as a pup, wouldn't you then have to wait about 2 years before you breed her for the first time? That said, would that not give a person ample time to build up a "whelping fund" ??
