weather Yorkies do well in hot and cold weather..but I have found you need to work up to it. If they are thrown into the heat or cold suddenly they do not always do well...but if you take them out for a longer length of time each day, they adapt well.
In hot weather, they need shade and water..in the cold, they need to be kept dry and out of the wind. If you have a carrier you can put those plastic ice packs in the crate ..show people do this..they can go in and cool off from time to time.
Cold weather does not worry me, but hot/humid does..heat stroke is so common on a coated breed if they are not used to heat...Best wishes |
