Default registeries

There are many registeries...more springing up as AKC tightens their regs.
CKC can be the Canadian KC which is extremely reputable..they have some stricter regs then AKC..there is also the Continental KC..they are very lax with their regs..you may register a mixed breed..someone with a purebred AKC Yorkie could breed with half Yorkie/ half poodle and register the litter with Continenal...or a cocker and a Yorkie..any combo you can think up.

Papers/pedigrees are only as honest as the breeder supplying the information..not all AKC dogs are what the breeder states they are, but if AKC ever inspects and they do more tehn breeders realize.. they will be found out...when an Inspector comes, they will do a random DNA on dogs/bitches in the kennel..not just a stud..but dams and pups also..it better match...that is why many breeders have left AKC..records must be in order..CKC does not inspect or look at records..CKC can not be shown.

I think it is taking a chance to pay a large sum for a CKC puppy..if the CKC breeder is asking $500 or so, that is one thing, but I see CKC pups for $3000..makes no sense to me.
