The girls are 19 weeks today. Roxy weighs in at 3.4 lbs and Ruby is a whooping 7.8 lbs. They were from a litter of three beautiful girls. The third sister fell in between my two. Wish I could see her now!
The story for these little girls is that their mother was a beautiful beagle with a nice pedigree who feel for the charms of a young yorkie male from the "wrong side" of the garden fence. The owners of the mother took the litter of pups promptly to a local pound as soon as they were about 6 weeks old. Thanks to a smart employee, a phone call was made to the local humane society, who picked up the pups from "death row". A little more magic and these Southern Belles were transported north .... and two weeks later - adopted into our family! |
