Yorkie Day @ the Barc Park in Myrtle Beach I go to the Dog Park every day at every time, there will always be aggressive Dogs any and every where you go......my female Abigail has been going ever since she was 7 weeks old/with full shots of course. I have learned w/c Dogs to stay away from the obvious choices; Rottweilers, Doberman Pinchers, German Sheperds, Akita and definetly Pit Bulls! In most cases with any aggressive Dogs regardless of the Breed they have to leave before there is a problem or fight. Dogs will be Dogs and Yorkies are miniature Pit Bulls with a lot of hair as sweet as they are not too many Yorkie owners take that fact in consideration. They do not back down when challenged in fact most of the time they start it. Some of the worst behaviour comes from our own insecurities that our Pets pick up from us. I'm a firm beleiver in "Socialization" in every situation. The other Dogs have to respect your Puppies space and if they don't it's your right to look out for them. But for the most part the other Dog owners are all aware of their responsibilites. We are all very vocal there and we have met a lot of people/Dogs whom are "Regulars". You should go it's a lot of fun w/the Lake and Obstacle Course. Both of you will enjoy it. But stay out of the Heat, it's best to go early or later in the early evening. |
