I just read you post about you experience with the maggot, I'm sure you were very shocked, it isn't something that we see very often. I was a dog groomer for 25 years and I have seen my share of dogs with the maggot sores. It's not a pretty site. But it happens. Try not to be too hard on yourself though. It happens, and no matter how clean one is. I'm glade Maddie is feeling better and the sore is healing nicely too. Sounds as though you have done all the right things for your baby girl.
