I have a few questions if you don't mind...
What pet store did you get them done at, how much did they cost, and were the props yours or where the props theirs and they had them there for anyone who wanted to use them???
I had pictures taken at Petco last year, all of my dogs were very coorperative and would sit still or hold a pose. And the pictures came out horrible!!! The photographer did such a awful job, I could not believe it. They were suppose to be professional photographers and even I took better pictures then them!!! Oh and it was the same with all the customers, nobody was happy with them. I will have to look for that particular company so I can get some good pictures of them. Sissy's pictures are a perfect example of what I am looking for. And it would be easy for the photographer because they all sit still and do so well. |
These were done at PetSuppliesPlus. The photography company is a national one with a website (
www.pawtography.com) so you might be able to contact them and get a schedule in your area. The store itself handled the appointments - they only scheduled 10 during that day) and required a $5 deposit. I believe it was advertised that the $5 got you an 8x10, but there was no other pricing info. The pictures were done digitally so you view them immediately afterward to make your selections. The photos were either $20 a sheet (8x10, 5x7 w/4 wallets, or 8 wallets) or you could choose 6 poses on a CD for $89. That is what I chose cause then I can print out what I want and play around with the photos also.
The bows in her hair and the party collar are ours - all the other props belonged to the photographer. I saw the silk flowers and because I had the sunflower bow, I knew I wanted something with sunflowers. She did ask if I wanted a Christmas background and I did not, but I love the poinsettia photo (I think it is my favorite). I wasn't necessarily planning to be in any of the photos, but I like those, too - though she took 4 different shots of us together and I would have preferred more of Sissy. She really didn't have that many props with her. I was kind of hoping for some kind of little chair or a bucket - but she didn't have anything like that. If I ever do them again, I will bring more props with me. I am happy with the results though.
