she could be allergic to chicken. I know it sounds funny but it's a likely explemation. I'd talk to your vet about getting allergy tested. to just tell a person to use Benidryl doesn't explain what the allergy could be. She has all the symptoms of being allerigic to something even after the benidryl and you said she'll sometimes eat the chicken you give her so that could very likely be what she's having these reactions too. It's a somewhat odd allergy but it's likely.
Also...They make a anti itch creme they sell at Petsmart. if you have one near you I'd recommend buying some until you can find out "for sure" what is causing the itching. |
